My follower list is growing slowly but surely which is more motivation for me to try and post more frequently. This post is a two-for-one. This weekend I unsuccessfully drove around looking for the Red Hook Lobster Pound truck but ending up going to their home location to try out their lobster roll (you can find the truck thru their twitter feed). It was definitely worth the hunt! If you're ever in the Red Hook neighborhood and also a fan of the crustacean, check it out at 284 Van Brunt St. I assure you you're taste buds won't be disappointed!
It seems lately I can't escape the blazers and I'm even finding myself throwing them on on Saturdays to run my errands.

There was an option to have the lobster roll served Maine (w/ mayo) or Connecticut (buttered) style. The main difference being your preference for a hot or cold sandwich.
I chose the Connecticut style pictured below.
They were not skimpy on the lobster as the roll was filled with chunks of it! I mean you can literally see the lobster claw! At an expected New York price of $15, I couldn't complain because of the quality & quantity I received.
You could taste the butter on the toasted roll. Seriously delicious. I tasted every component of this dish.
And because I'm never truly satisfied I paired my roll with an equally delicious clam chowder & oyster crackers. My taste buds were in heaven or at least close to it.
This is an example of a hole in the wall joint done right. With empty seating next door to enjoy the meal this pound gets 2 thumbs up from me!
Lol @ chasing a lobster truck. Sounds like fun.
