The next day we were up bright, early, refreshed and ready to explore the waterfall first then the volcano. We took a cab to la catarata de la fortuna (Fortuna Waterfall) where it was a US$10 admission and then hiked down to cool ourselves off in the water . It was a narrow climb down but some of the views we saw were absolutely breathtaking and worth it.

Our taxi driver Edie was gracious enough to offer to come back to collect us and take us to the Volcano. Taxi prices were reasonable priced at about $15 to each place split between the three of us. The first photo is the view from the top of the volcano. We only realized when we got back to our hotel we were able to get closer and better shots from our hotel. But since it was only a 30 minute hike thru a forest to the volcano we weren't too heartbroken. All the hiking must of contributed to the 4lbs I lost on this trip!
Sitting on top of the world
The last eruption was in 1992 but it was still a little unsettling being so close.
After a day of full adventure it was off to the Hot Springs!
The place looks amazing!!
